Attendees from a variety of sectors and some of the largest organisations in the world came together for insight, debate, high powered networking, discussion and idea sharing under The Chatham House Rule. They were given access to a schedule packed with high value keynotes, round table workshops, private meetings, panel debates, The Leaders’ Dinner, a live performance of The Dark Money Files podcast, networking drinks, drop in sessions and the rare opportunity to spend quality time with one another sharing their passion in a relaxed environment.
Cara Roberts, Head of Fraud Risk Management- Tesco PLC.
Both days were packed with high value content, aimed exclusively at senior leaders, with the aim of provoking intellectual side discussions among the attendees.
The keynotes were a powerful mix of insights, predictions and eye opening case studies. The panels were filled with industry heavyweights who created some intense debate and delved deep into some prime elements of; AI Implementation, Cross Sector Communication & Intelligence Sharing, 'State of the Nation' 2024 Fincrime Trends & Approaches, Compliance Observations, Challenges & Focuses.
Round table discussions covered; Seizing AI Opportunities & Mastering Implementation, Data Sharing, Third Party Risk Management, Watertight Communications Monitoring & Data Management, The Sanctions Landscape & Lessons Learned from Russia and Payment Technology for Better Compliance.
Drop in problem solving sessions were designed to offer insight and education from The Fraud Advisory Panel on Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, APP fraud and mandatory reimbursement, Financial Services & Markets Act and Consumer Duty.
The Leaders Dinner was hosted by legends of the industry- Graham Barrow and Ray Blake who treated the audience to a live performance of The Dark Money Files podcast.
The retreat style event was purposely held away from London but easily accessible by rail and road.
The 5* resort hotel boasts excellent conference facilities and has previously hosted the Ryder Cup Golf tournament and counts the likes of Barack Obama among its previous guests. The venue is set among 2,000 acres in the beautiful Usk Valley - a fine setting for the attendees to put all else aside and focus on collaboration in the fight against financial crime.
The relaxed atmosphere, evening drinks and dinner provided the perfect platform for networking and relationship building with leaders of significant global status, who are often inaccessible.
Early rising delegates joined an organised morning run, whilst others enjoyed a hike around the grounds, others made use of networking at the fabulous hotel breakfast.
